LOOK RIGHT THROUGH
Photographic installation inspired by ideas of sight, mirroring and transparency as metaphors for relations between people.
The longing to get closer, to know everything about another person, but also the realization that we are only are able to make assumptions and interpretations of what we see and hear, was the inspiration for this installation.
Metaphors in language such as “I see right through you” is an example of our coupling of sight and the acquisition of knowledge, also of other people. We scrutinize each other to find out, what the other person is thinking, to obtain contact.
