CATALOGUE: SØREN LOSE MONUMENT
Concept development and editing of “Monument” exhibition publication in relation to artist Søren Loses exhibition of the same name in Peter Lav Gallery.
The publication is in Danish and shows three bodies of works from the exhibition alongside articles by cultural historian Inge Adriansen and Ph.D. Kristian Handberg.
The story of Istedløven is a colorful one. From it was placed in Flensborg in 1862 as a monument of victory over the battle at Isted, and until today, it has lived in Berlin and Copenhagen, and now it is back in Flensborg – but this time as a reminder of the friendly alliance between Denmark and Germany.
This exact openness in the meaning of the monument is what is at stake
